How to Care for Your Beard Brush A great beard brush lasts for years : if you treat it right. Here's how to keep your 100% boar bristle brush clean, fresh, and working at its best. Wash every 2–3 weeks. A few drops of mild shampoo in lukewarm water is all you need. Work through the bristles with your fingers or a soft cloth to clear out oil, dirt, and product buildup. Don't soak it. A quick rinse under lukewarm water , bristles angled down is plenty. Submerging the brush, especially one with a wooden handle, can cause warping and damage over time. Let it air dry naturally. Shake off the excess water and rest the brush bristles down on a clean towel. Skip the hair dryer and keep it out of direct sunlight. Store it bristles down. It sounds simple because it is keeping the handle up stops dust and debris from settling into the base between uses. Treat it well, and it'll treat your beard better.
